new zealand - Code of conduct

Licensed Immigration Advisers in New Zealand are regulated under the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007 and must comply with the Licensed Immigration Advisers Code of Conduct (2014). This Code sets out the professional, ethical and client‑care standards that advisers must follow when providing New Zealand immigration advice.

At Small World Migration, we uphold these obligations with the highest level of professionalism. Clients can expect ethical guidance, transparent communication, secure handling of personal information, and advice that is accurate, lawful and aligned with Immigration New Zealand requirements.

The Code of Conduct outlines requirements relating to:

  • professional behaviour, honesty and integrity
  • clear, accurate and timely client communication
  • confidentiality and secure management of client information
  • written agreements, fair fees and transparent invoicing
  • identifying and managing conflicts of interest
  • providing advice only within an adviser’s competence
  • cultural awareness and respect, including support with interpreters where needed

You can view the official Licensed Immigration Advisers Code of Conduct, which regulates the required standards for all New Zealand Licensed Immigration Advisers, on the Immigration Advisers Authority (IAA)
